Christmas without Cliff Richard is about as unthinkable as Christmas without Mistletoe. And wine. Which is why today’s Christmas song is by Saint Cliff, albeit not the one that he’s probably the most famous (or infamous) for. I happen to think that this track is better than Mistletoe and Wine, on all sorts of levels (although, I admit, if you still can’t stand Cliff then this isn’t going to convert you). It’s less commercial (although it still reached Number 1, thanks to his massive fanbase), partly because of the more explicit Christian content, but it’s also a lot less cheesy.
